Smoke of the Sacred Pipe, Spirit Vessel
What most know as the Native American Peace Pipe is actually only one of a number of sacred purposes for the ceremonial pipe. The style of pipe, the material it is made of and even the decoration all vary greatly across the many different indigenous tribes. In spite of all these differences, one constant theme remains: the sacred smoke of the ceremonial pipe is believed to carry the userâs prayers, hopes and desires heavenward to The Creator.
